Coal SA recently unveiled a state-of-the-art COVID-19 testing laboratory at its Highveld Hospital in eMalahleni. This lab will allow the hospital to test employees, contractors and the broader community who show symptoms of the virus.

Currently, the laboratory can perform 300 tests a day; with the ability to scale up the if required. The laboratory and the hospital are key elements of Coal SA's wide-ranging employee and community initiative to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
