Khanyisile brings extensive commercial experience from her previous executive roles at Barloworld, Altech and BMW South Africa.

Cynthia Carroll, Chief Executive of Anglo American, said: "I believe that this series of leadership changes will enable us to continue our success in driving operational performance across our portfolio of businesses in South Africa in line with our clear strategic objectives. I congratulate Chris, Norman, Godfrey and Khanyisile on their new roles – a clear demonstration of the depth of management talent within Anglo American – and welcome Khanyisile to the Anglo American Executive Committee. I thank them all for their strength of leadership and significant achievements in their current roles.
