Helpful tools from the 2013 Mining Lekgotla

We are very proud of our involvement with the 2013 Mining Lekgotla which is happening today at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. It is the premier Mining Think Tank with a footprint that extends to the broader SADC region in an effort to make a positive contribution to South Africa and beyond.

It is also a platform to explore key trends and policy shifts in the mining environment. Most of our leaders will be speaking at the Lekgotla, including Anglo American CEO Mark Cutifani, and Anglo American in South Africa Executive Director Khanyisile Kweyama.

We will be reporting live from the Mining Lekgotla, sharing insights straight from the industry leaders themselves. You can join this conversation by following us on Twitter and liking our Facebook page. We will also be posting daily recaps here on the blog, so make sure to keep an eye out for them.

For this, we've created helpful brochures to share knowledge and information around Anglo American and our operations.

If you are interested in our enterprise development initiative, Zimele, have a look at this brochure that gives an overview of the programme and how it works, you can also view the interactive version here. If you are interested to apply, you can also have a look at this "how to" brochure with everything you need to know about applying for small business funding from Zimele, with an interactive version available here.

We've also developed a brochure specifically focusing on our health policies and what we're doing in this space to improve our employees' and communities’ lives. Have a look at the interactive version here. As well as a brochure that shares highlights of our social investment initiatives, with interactive versions. You can also have a look at how we aim to develop sustainable local procurement policies and how that is positively impacting communities and business, also with an interactive version.

Lastly, have a look at this fact sheet with stats and factoids around our South African businesses and our contribution to SA - view the interactive version here.
